Psychotherapy (therapy) is a type of treatment that can help individuals experiencing a wide array of mental health conditions and emotional challenges. Psychotherapy generally takes place between a patient and a licensed professional. Psychotherapists are trained in and focus on the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of mentally-based conditions.
Wellness coaching is a co-creative, self-directed process focusing on achieving client goals and improving overall well-being. While wellness coaches may be able to address and help build healthy habits to prevent feelings of stress, overwhelm, fatigue, and burnout, they are generally not trained to address mental health-based conditions.
Confidentiality is of utmost importance in my coaching practice. I adhere to the International Coach Federation's (ICF) Code of Ethics, which includes strict guidelines for maintaining client confidentiality.
